Research Methodology

Detailed Assessments of the Research

  • Preparation of maps with salient watershed features of Polgolla watershed (Q-GIS software)
    • Baseline map of the Polgolla watershed with delineated sub watersheds
    • Sub watershed population density map
    • Map indicating the availability of sanitary facilities of each sub watershed
    • Map indicating the land use of the riparian zone of the streams and tributaries belonging to Polgo lla watershed
  • Collection of qualitative and quantitative data on inputs of C, N, P, Sediment, feacal pollutants and
    runoff
    • Development of data forms for collecting qualitative and quantitative data
    • Collection of information for the preparation of maps indicating other salient features of the Polgolla watershed such as the housing density, land use systems, and application of agrochemicals, etc.
