The Secretariat of the Director General coordinates all activities of Director General with stakeholders and manages all correspondence of the Organisation while supporting DG in fulfilling overall responsibilities entrusted. Having staffed with the Secretary to Director General and supporting team, functioning under the direct supervision of DG, the Secretariat acts as the main point of communication with the board of directors and other collaborators.

Program/ICT Unit has been established in NBRO under the Presidential Secretariat Circular No. SP/SB/03/10 of 31st May 2010 as per the e-government policy. This unit functions directly under DG as per the requirements of the above policy and carry out all Information Communication Technology (ICT), Information Technology (IT), Project Monitoring & Reporting and Documentation Services for NBRO.

The Program  Unit is equipped with most sophisticated IT equipment and carries out work as per the ICT plan having separate budget. The eight internal divisions and ten district offices functioned under NBRO have been linked to efficient service delivery and assist NBRO for total solutions in the above fields.

NBRO has an Internal Audit Unit that functions under the direct supervision of the Director General, NBRO and the scope and functions of the Unit are decided by the Director General. These functions are:

  • Review of the Internal Control Systems and Accounting
  • Examination of Financial and Operational Information
  • Review of the Economy, Efficiency and Effectiveness of operation including non-financial control of the Organisation
  • Review of the Operational Compliance with the law, regulations and other external requirements, with the management policies and directions and other internal requirements
  • Carry out ad-hoc investigations on any matter required by the Director General
