Building Materials Research & Testing Laboratory of National Building Research Organisation is the only laboratory in Srilanka, which was granted ISO 17025 Accreditation for Performing Mechanical Testing on Steel bars. Steel testing is performed by highly experienced technical staff under the supervision of qualified Engineers. Laboratory consists with a Universal testing machine which can be operated in five different load ranges with a maximum loading capacity of 1000kN and Automatic Universal testing machine with extensometer with a maximum loading capacity of 600kN.
