Environmental Studies & Services Division (ESSD)

The Environmental Studies and Services Division was established 1986 as a technical division at NBRO to cater rapid development process with necessary technical and scientific inputs in sustainable development and environmental management. Over years the division has expanded its capacities in wide range environmental fields and has become a pioneer technical agency under the Ministry of Disaster Management to provide both consultancy and testing services in diverse fields of environment. Today ESSD provides a comprehensive range of environmental monitoring and consultancy services to help industries, developers and the government projects to fulfill their legal obligations and to comply with environmental regulations. ESSD expert team provides island wide coverage of services including site investigation, sampling and analysis, monitoring, interpretation and consultancy, and R & D in diverse environmental fields.
