Developing landslide threat………………..

National Building Research Organisation mobilzed the staff on alert in its landslide early warning centre and in district offices while following forecasts issued by Department of Meteorology and because of prevailng adverse weather conditions in the country. Having noted the landslide risk in landslide-prone areas in several districts NBRO issued landslide early warnings for identified hazard prone areas based on their risk level. Further, NBRO teams investigated landslide vulnerable sites. During the next few days, NBRO will contiue to monitor the prevailing situation closely. The public is requested to be vigilant and those living in landslide vulnerable areas should keep watch on any pre-landslide signs or excessive rainfall, pay attention to NBRO early warnings and instructions, and in case of noticing unsafe situation, move into safe areas and notify authorities.

කඳුකර ප්‍රදේශවල ජිවත්වන ජනතාව විසින් ප්‍රාදේශීය වර්ෂාපතනය සහ ජාතික ගොඩනැගිලි පර්යේෂණ සංවිධානය මගින් නිකුත් කරනු ලබන නිවේදන පිළිබඳ ව දැඩි අවධානයකින් සිටිය යුතු අතර නායයෑම් පුර්ව ලක්ෂණ සහ අනාරක්‍ෂිත තත්ත්වයක් උද්ගත වූවහොත් වහාම ආරක්‍ෂිත ස්ථානයක් කරා යා යුතු වේ. තව ද ඒ පිළිබඳ ව අදාල බලධාරීන් දැනුවත් කරන ලෙස කාරුණික ව දන්වා සිටිමි.
