Technical Co-operation between Norwegian Geotechnical Institute (NGI) and NBRO extended
Technical Co-operation for Mitigation of Natural Disasters due to Climate Change in Sri Lanka, between Norwegian Geotechnical Institute (NGI) and NBRO was extended for a period of three years from 2017 to 2020. The Agreement to this effect was signed on 03rd October 2017 at the Royal Norwegian Embassy, Colombo 07.
The following activities will be conducted under the agreement:
- Identification of impacted area of Uma Oya using Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) images
- Identification of areas susceptible to ground subsidence in Jaffna
Development of landslide mitigation techniques.
